T. L. Cooper grew up on a farm in Tollesboro, Kentucky. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Corrections and Juvenile Services at Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, Kentucky.

She has worked as a youth counselor. a project coordinator and a registrar assistant. She also temped in a variety of office positions.

She published her first novel, All She Ever Wanted, in 2002. Idaho Magazine published her article on mystery author Joanne Pence. Her short story, Fortress, won second place in the Professional Division of the Idaho Magazine 2005 Fiction Writing Contest. She contributed material from her experience marketing her first book to Book Marketing A to Z and Self-Promotion for Authors. Her poetry appeared in several anthologies including Standing, Poetry by Idaho Women (2004 & 2005 editions). Two of her short stories, It’ll Never Happen Again and Connection, are available through the Amazon Shorts program.

She served as President of Partners in Crime Boise where her duties included leading monthly meetings. She served as Chair of Popular Fiction Association of Idaho, Inc. where her duties including leading meetings, organizing the committee, creating the program, and working closely with the speakers as well as serving as Master of Ceremonies. She has presented workshops on writing at writing conferences.

Extensive travel within the United States as well as visits to England, Spain, France, Jordan, Abu Dhabi, and Dubai has provided her with rich opportunities to learn about different cultures, beliefs, and people. All of which she incorporates in her writing whether fiction or nonfiction. Currently, she lives in Albany, Oregon with her husband.
